Les Ruchers de la Bruyère is a beekeeping operation located in the Orléans bocage. We produce honey, royal jelly, fresh pollen, gingerbread and mead. We sell directly and in shops. We also breed queens and swarms. In addition to our activity as producers, we also run courses and various events to introduce the public to the world of bees.
Our values
Les Ruchers de la Bruyère is a family business in which the passion for bees has been passed on from father to daughter. We have chosen to place our hives in meadows located in the bocage, so that the bees benefit from the most diversified flora possible. Our apiaries are sedentary and are located within a perimeter of 10 km around the honey house. Some of the honey is sold locally, in producers' grocery stores and at the weekly market. We attach great importance to the quality of our products: our honeys are neither heated nor mixed and come exclusively from our hives. The gingerbread is made from 52% honey and with local flour. Finally, the royal jelly is produced according to the "French Royal Jelly" specifications of the GPGR (https://www.geleeroyale-gpgr.fr/). Finally, because we like to share our profession with others, we run beekeeping courses and we have several projects with beekeepers in West Africa.
